Canterbury Kiwis team announced

The Canterbury selectors have named the following Canterbury Kiwis side to play two matches against the New South Wales Emus team which is currently touring the province. The fixtures to be contested are the 'One-Day International' at the Willows on January 18 and the three-day 'Test' which commences on January 20 at the Village Green, QEII Park.
The Kiwis side, selected from nominated Under 21 players, is:

Andrew Sawers (Mid Canterbury)
Hamish McCarthy (High School Old Boys)
Peter Broom (East Christchurch Shirley)
Chris Sowden (High School Old Boys)
Kris Howes (Riccarton)
Terry McErlane (South Canterbury)
Michael Davidson (St Albans)
Nigel Tubb (St Albans)
Nigel Cochrane (West Coast)
The side will be coached by Garfield Charles and managed by Barry Townrow.
