Hampshire appoint Australian physiotherapist/fitness trainer.
Vic Isaacs - 24 January 2002
Hampshire have appointed an Australian physiotherapist/fitness trainer, who will take up his post in time for the counties pre-season build up.
37 year old Patrick Farhart is the physio for New South Wales Cricket Association and is also currently employed by the Australian Cricket Board. He has toured several times with the senior Australia team, including Australia's one day side to England last summer. Farhart has been involved in injury-prevention and specialist fitness programmes.
Meanwhile David Newman, who has been Hampshire's physiotherapist for the past 18 years, will remain responsible for the treatment and fitness of First XI, Second XI and Academy players who do not travel to away matches with the senior side.
