Somerset Under 15 Girls scored an impressive win over their Essex opposition when they travelled up to the south east on Sunday.

Batting first the opening pair of Steph Davies and Liz Tilley took the score to29 before Liz was LBW for 9.

From this situation Steph Davies dominated and took Somerset to 121 for 6 from their 30overs, remaining unbeaten on 87 at the close.

When Essex batted they were dismissed for 78, with Steph Davies completing a good afternoon with 3 for 5 from her 6 overs, supported by Katherine Feathers and Anya Shrubsole who both ended with 3 for 17.
