Hampshire lodge appeal over Championship penalty
Vic Isaacs - 29 July 2002
Hampshire have lodged an appeal with the England and Wales Cricket Board over their eight County Championship point deduction enforced for the state of the pitch during the game with Lancashire last week.
Having lodged the appeal within the 24-hour time limit permitted for appeals, Hampshire are now waiting on a time and place for the hearing, which will be heard in front of an ECB panel soon.
