Hoggard enters top five in world ratings Wisden CricInfo staff - July 30, 2002
Full ratings India's highest-rated bowler is the man who did not play, Harbhajan Singh at No. 12, while Zaheer Khan has moved up to No. 31 after an impressive display. But after scores of 16 and 12, there is further bad news for Sachin Tendulkar, who dropped three places to No. 5 in the batting table. VVS Laxman (14th), Rahul Dravid (19th) and Virender Sehwag (a career-best 52nd), however, are all moving in the right direction. After his Man of the Match performance, Nasser Hussain climbs to No. 26, his highest placing for two years, while Andrew Flintoff and Craig White have both reached their highest batting ratings ever. Graham Thorpe, however, has dropped five places, but remains in the world's top 20. As for Ajit Agarkar … he has leapt a fine 37 places after his maiden Test century, but he has a long way to go to make up for his past batting woes, and remains well outside the top 100.
