The Tender Committee for PCB's TV rights, met in Islamabad on June 13, 2002, Chairman PCB Lt. General Tauqir Zia presided.

Chairman PCB was briefed in detail about the working of the committee in Dubai, from June 3-9, 2002. The Chairman was given a detailed briefing by a representative of Afridi & Angell, the lawyer firm, that is independently overseeing the tender process.

Besides, a summary of the report of the accounting aspects of the process made by Pricewaterhouescoopers, was also presented. These two companies are ensuring that the entire tender process is fair, transparent and grants equal opportunities to all tenderers.

The committee decided that the evaluation process of the bids, which includes multifarious issues should continue to consider the matter in depth. A decision on the subject will be taken in due course after necessary considerations. On account of the confidential nature of the contents of the bids no further details can be released at this time.
