Ramle surprise Neve Yonatan
Israel Cricket Association - 23 June 2002

Ramle kept their hopes alive for a top 4 finish, when they defeated Neve Yonatan, whose chances of making it into the semi-finals are now all but gone, by 59 runs in a Division 1 game played at Hadar Yosef on Friday. Batting first, Ramle scored a useful 169, with Akiva Shimshon top scoring with 52, and Yakov Mashiliker adding 32. In reply, none of the Neve Yonatan bastman got settled, as they were eventually dismissed for just 110. Shalom Rubin returned the outstanding figures of 4 for 27 in 5 overs, whilst Shimshon completed a fine all-round performance, picking up 3 for 29 in 8 tidy overs.
