Final of Premier Division 1 Super Tournament 2001/02

SSC will face Colts in the Final of the Premier Division 1 Super Tournament 2001/02, which will be played from the 29th of March to the 1st of April at the SSC Grounds. Gamini Silva and T.H. Wijewardena will be the umpires for the Final, and the Match Referee will be Roger Wijesuriya.
Meanwhile, the deciding match of the Premier Trophy Plate Championship 2001/02 will be played between Chilaw Marians and Sebastianites at the NCC Grounds from the 29th to the 31st of March. Chilaw Marians head the points table with 94.570 points, with Sebastianites second with 92.015 points. This match, which was scheduled to be played from the 22nd to the 24th of March, was postponed due to non-availability of the ground.
The presentation of awards will take place immediately following the Final of the Premier Division 1 Super Tournament 2001/02. The Champions of the Premier Division 1 Super Tournament 2001/02 will receive the Premier Trophy and Rs. 400,000/= from the BCCSL, while the Runners-Up will receive Rs. 250,000/=.
The Man of the Tournament of the Premier Division 1 Super Tournament 2001/02 will receive an award of Rs. 25,000/=, as will the Best Batsman of the Tournament, the Best Bowler of the Tournament, and the Man of the Final.
The Champions of the Premier Trophy Plate Championship 2001/02 will be awarded the Premier Trophy and Rs. 150,000/=, while the Runners-Up will receive Rs. 100,000/=
The Champions of the Sara Trophy will receive the Trophy and an award of Rs. 150,000/=, and the Runners-Up Rs. 100,000/=. The Man of the Tournament, Best Batsman of the Tournament, and Best Bowler of the Tournament will each receive Rs. 15,000/=. (BCCSL media release)
