Sri Lanka board appreciates PCB security arrangements
Pakistan Cricket Board - 27 March 2002

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board has acknowledged the excellent security and other ground arrangements, made by the PCB for their team during their recent visit to Pakistan to play the Final of Asian Test Championship at Lahore between March 6 to 10, 2002.

The manager of the Sri Lanka cricket team in a communication addressed to the Director PCB said: "While a great deal of security was provided, it was done unobtrusively, both on the ground as well as in the hotel. We were very well looked after in this area, and particularly on the ground, extreme caution was adopted. It was very easy for our players to move on and off the field, without any problem". He was also appreciative of the role played by local police in removing any concern about their security during their visit. While thanking PCB on behalf of the Sri Lanka Board for all measures taken for their comfort, he also remarked, "I am sure that teams could visit Pakistan in future without any reservations whatsoever.
