Tremlett and Prittipaul in twelve for Championship match at Edgbaston
Victor Isaacs - 13 May 2002
With John Crawley called up to England duties at Lord's this week, providing his passes a final fitness test on his strained back, Hampshire take 12 to Edgbaston for the Frizzell County Championship Division One match against Warwickshire, which starts on Thursday.
Lawrence Prittipaul replaces Crawley in the Hampshire batting line-up and Chris Tremlett is included after recovering from shin soreness, which has kept him out of the last two one-day games and the Championship victory over Kent.
Alex Morris is playing as a batsman only for the Hampshire 2nd XI at The Oval this week, in a bid to recover from his injuries.
The Hampshire 12: Derek Kenway, Will Kendall, Lawrence Prittipaul, Robin Smith (capt), Neil Johnson, Giles White, Nic Pothas (wk), Dimitri Mascarenhas, Shaun Udal, James Hamblin, Chris Tremlett, Alan Mullally.
