West Indies send A squad to visit Canada CricInfo - 18 May 2002
West Indies A will visit Canada this summer, playing matches in the Toronto area. The squad will feature a mix of youth and experience and will be captained by West Indies Test batsman Darren Ganga. Fast bowlers Reon Kig and Marlon Black also have Test experience, and youngsters such as all-rounder Gareth Breese, Donovan Pagon, and Jermaine Lawson as re expected to form the core of the ful West Indies side in the future. The team will arrive in Toronto on July 31 after an extensive tour of England. Details of the Canada part of the tour ae not finalised as yet but it is anticipated that they will play one-day matches on August 2nd and 4th with a thee day match to follow August 6-8. All matches are likely to be in the Toronto area, making use of the turf wickets prepared for the ICC trophy las year. © CricInfo/ CCA
