Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan announce Ranji squads

After commendable performances in the Cooch Behar league games, several youngsters have replaced veterans like Rajesh Puri and Sonu Sharma in the Haryana squad for the forthcoming Ranji season. The team will also be captained by the relatively young Ajay Ratra as the Haryana Cricket Association look to mount a serious challenge in the Ranji Trophy.

Rajasthan's senior selection committee also announced the Ranji squad for the first match against Bengal at Kolkata, starting on November 9, 2002. P Krishna Kumar has been retained as captain, and only two new faces - Sumir Mathur and Shailendra Gehlot - find themselves in the squad.

Delhi will be led by Vijay Dahiya when they take the field for their first-league encounter against Railways at the Feroze Shah Kotla ground on November 9.
