PCB names 21 probables for U-15 Asia Cup
Pakistan Cricket Board - 24 November 2002

The junior selection committee has named 21 probables for December's Asia Cup to be played at Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The tournament will run between December 7 and 21.

Chief selector Zaheer Abbas said the 14-player squad would be named in the first week of December. The Pakistan cricket team, that finished second to Sri Lanka a couple of years ago at Karachi's National Stadium, will depart for Sharjah on December 12 and will open their campaign on December 15.

The tournament will begin on December 7 with two top teams from Associate Member groups to join the four full members - Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh - in the Super League stage.

The 10 Associate Members are divided into two groups:

Group A: Oman, Maldives, Hong Kong, UAE and Thailand.

Group B: Malaysia, Nepal, Kuwait, Singapore, Qatar.

Spinners: Mansoor Amjad (Sialkot), Reza Ali Dar (Lahore), Fahad Zaman (Peshawar), Asif Hameed (Karachi)
