Who is the oldest surviving Test cricketer? asks Mike Walford
Since the death last October of England's Alf Gover, who was born on February 29, 1908 (and was thus either 93 or 23, depending on your point of view), the oldest Test cricketer has been GL Weir of New Zealand, who was born on June 2, 1908. His first names are Gordon Lindsay, but he was always known as "Dad" – a nickname that has never been as appropriate as it is now.
