Richard Sims
Wisden CricInfo staff - November 23, 2002
Wisden overview Richard Sims comes from a non-cricketing family, and after representing Zimbabwe schools as a rugby scrum-half, he quit sport to take up a computing course for two years before turning his hand to cricket. Sims is a straight-hitting middle-order batsman for Manicaland, but his strongest suit is his offspin bowling, for which he discovered a talent when a back injury forced him to give up fast bowling. An injury sustained during his rugby days limits his fielding, although he is a handy close catcher. Andrew Miller
