KwaZulu Natal can look forward to an action packed month of international cricket in the month of December when South Africa takes on Pakistan in the first one day international (8 December) of the five match series. In addition the popular holiday venue of Durban will host the visitors (Pakistan) during the five day test to be played at Kingsmead starting on December 26th. Tickets for both matches go on sale on 8th October 2002 and can be purchased at the Kingsmead Stadium from 8:30 to 16:00. Mr Cassim Docrat, CEO of the KZNCU said that with the excitement of World Cup starting in February, the December matches would undoubtedly be watched with increased interest. Mr Docrat also indicated that the KZNCU would be treating these matches as 'dress rehearsals' for the World Cup. "The public can look forward to a number of new innovations at the Stadium, which have been prepared for World Cup. There will be a new fully functional food court, children's entertainment area, a new state of the art electronic scoreboard and much more!"
