The Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) is adopting a new approach in going about picking the national team for next season's Busta Series. In announcing a squad of 31 to resume a year-round training programme, the board said yesterday that four teams would be selected at the end of the current Division 1 season to play in a competition based on geographical zones.

After that competition, a squad of 16 will be named for the regional four-day championship expected to start at the end of January.

The list of 31 for the year-long programme contains no real surprises.

The players are requested to attend an important session in the BCA board room at Kensington Oval at 5 p.m. tomorrow.
