Dawn Adeel spins Sialkot to victory with 11-wicket haul

LAHORE, Sept 3: Leg-spinner Adeel Malik claimed a match haul of 11 for 41 as Sialkot thrashed Gujranwala by an innings and 51 runs in the National Junior (Under-19) Grade-II Cricket Championship match at Jinnah Stadium in Gujranwala , according to a message received here Tuesday.

Replying to Sialkot's first innings total of 253,Gujranwala resumed at 65 for two, after Monday's entire day was washed out, and bundled out for 95 in 42.2 overs with Adeel taking five for 12.

Following on, Gujranwala collapsed to 107 in their second knock as Adeel spun his way to six for 29.

Faisalabad pulled off a sensational 10-run win over Rahim Yar Khan at Mahmood Stadium, thanks to leg-spinnerJaved Iqbal who captured six for 45.

Sargodha secured first innings points after their game against Kasur ended in a draw at Sports Stadium in Sargodha. The highlight being fine bowling by pacer Faraz-ul-Haq who took six for 18 as Kasur were shot out for 75.

The match between Lahore Greens and Attock also petered outin a tame draw at Saga Ground in Sialkot.

Okara, meanwhile, gained three points after their match against Multan ended in a thrilling draw at Gymkhana Ground in Okara.
