Negev Succot tournament a big success
Israel Cricket Association - 24 September 2002

Two teams each from Be'er Sheva, Dimona and Yeruham participated in a very successful tournament played today in Yeruham, as the Succot holiday "Festival of Cricket" continued in the Negev.

Each team consisted of 9 players, with 2 groups divided into junior and senior players. Tournament organizer George Sheader was delighted with the event, "Everybody had a wonderful time and lots of fun.

Children who have only been playing for a few months, many of them attracted to the game through friends who play in the neighbourhoods each day, participated in their first organized tournament, with one such youngster from Dimona named Player of the Day."
