It's wonderful that the contracts crisis has finally been sorted out, but it would have been a blessing in disguise, in one way, if it hadn't - the Indians would have got some well-deserved rest. They have been playing cricket constantly since the tour of South Africa last November, and it is with good reason that they look a fatigued lot right now. After the Champions Trophy, they will play a Test series against West Indies in October and November, followed by a tour of New Zealand in December and January. And then, if they can still stand up, the World Cup in March. The man who most needed a break, Rahul Dravid, is the man who will suffer most, as he will have to keep wicket in the Champions Trophy.
