Sehwag into the top 100
Wisden CricInfo staff - September 23, 2002

Virender Sehwag's stunning century against England muscled into the Wisden 100 for one-day batting performances, with a rating of 171.15. It is the second performance from this year's Champions Trophy to make the list: Andy Flower's 145 for Zimbabwe in India's first match shot in at No. 61. The way Sehwag started, it looked as if he might make 200. Indeed, if he had maintained his initial rate of scoring and finished with 125 in around 90 balls, he might have been even higher. But his second one-day hundred - oddly, his other one also came at Colombo's Premadasa Stadium - was nonetheless a stunning performance.

Sourav Ganguly's 117 against England secured 158 points, and is just outside the top 100.
