Canada was hit hardest as it was on the verge of defeating Singapore. Canada scored 159 for eight in its 30 overs and had Singapore struggling at 50 for eight. Toronto's Ingleton Liburd (45) and Paul Prashad (41) were Canada's best batsmen, while Tony Gardener finished with a career-best analysis of five wickets for 12 runs in six overs. Errol Barrow took two for 17. "It was disappointing. We could have easily won this game," said Dr. Geoff Edwards, manager of the Canadian team. "We're hoping for better weather when we play Namibia."
