The visitors who are in the town to play training matches prior to proceeding to Kuala Lumpur to play in the ICC trophy, took first strike and scored 215 for four in allotted 45 overs after opener Edward Lewis had struck 54 in 57 ball with the aid of eight fours. Mian Azmat Professionals which had three test stars in Asif Muj- taba, Tauseef Ahmed and Salim Jaffer scored 216 for six with four balls to spare in reply. Asif Mujtaba hit up fine 39 before be- ing run out, Mansoor Akhtar top scored for the winners with 52 made in unbeaten 59 balls with the help of five fours. Tauseef Ahmed remained unbeaten with 16. USA skipper the former West Indian test star Faoud Bacchus got out cheaply for 8 caught at the wicket off of spinner Tauseef Ahmed. Albert Texeira retired hurt after scoring 37.
