ICC Trophy, Malaysia
24 March - 12 April 1997
Tenaga Sports Ground
The Kilat Kelab, as this ground was formerly known,
(Kilat Club - Kilat means 'lightning' in English) hosted
the international Super 8s in July 1996. The ground does have turf wickets,
but due to heavy rains in the lead-up to the Super 8s the artificial wicket
had to be used. The ground has the capacity to hold several thousand people,
depending on how many corporate tents are positioned around the boundary.
The ground was renamed as the Tenaga Sports Ground in February 1997.
The ICC Trophy is presented with the support of its
major sponsors.
