1996 World Cup Profile:

Andrew Hudson has never really fulfilled his promise as an opening batsmen. A brilliant stroke player on faster wickets he often gets bogged down when the ball is not coming onto the bat. If the wicket is quick, Hudson has the ability to piece the field at will. A beautiful player to watch when in form, Hudson drives, cuts and pulls with great authority. He has never however, been happy against spin bowling and tends to lose his wicket often after getting bogged down. Hudson is also a good fielder in the deep or at gully. He is a pleasure to watch when in form but has a often given his wicket away with over elaborate shots.
