1996 World Cup Profile:

The wicketkeeper of the squad originally played first-class cricket in Pakistan, where his seven catches on debut for Karachi against Quetta in a Patron`s Trophy match in 1988 is still a domestic record in Pakistan. A right-hand lower order batsman, he has excelled behind the wickets for UAE, including five catches against Bangladesh in the ICC trophy match in 94. He was declared the best wicketkeeper in the ICC Trophy with a haul of 22 dismissals in nine matches. Thanks:: Shariq, CricInfo Contributed by Alak
