World Cup 1999 - UK TV Schedule The World Cup consists of a 30 match group stage played between 14 May and 31 May. Either Sky Sports or BBC (as denoted) will be broadcasting one live match per day with any second match being covered for alternative live coverage, for highlights and overseas telecasts. The Super Six stage will be broadcast by Sky Sports or BBC (as denoted) from 4-13 June. Both broadcasters will cover one live semi-final each and will then share live coverage of the World Cup Final on 20 June. Each match will have a reserve day.
