CRICKET STATISTICS FOR WINDOWS ------------------------------ Running under Microsoft Windows on an IBM or compatible PC, Cricket Statistics for Windows enables you to compile the following statistics reports for your club, school or league with the minimum of effort: * Overall Summary * Highlights * Record Partnerships * Batting Averages * Bowling Averages * Catches Summary * Run Outs Summary * Wicket Keeping Summary * Duck Cup * Fantasy Cricket Ratings * Players' Points Summary * Captains' Summary * Match Review * Personal Review With just a few mouse clicks or keystrokes, you can select which clubs, seasons, teams (1st, 2nd XI etc.), days (Sat, Sun etc.) and types of match (friendlies, league etc.) are included in the reports and even select just matches against a particular opposition or played at a particular ground. You can choose how the reports are sorted (by average, total runs, name etc.), specify a qualification criteria where appropriate (a minimum number of innings, runs etc.) and select what data appears in the reports (e.g. the number of innings, matches, total runs, highest score, average etc.). The resulting reports can be printed, viewed on screen or exported to other Windows applications (e.g. Spreadsheets, Word Processors or DTP packages). Data entry involves copying the scores etc. from your scorebook into Cricket Statistics for Windows, extensive validation checks will warn you of any inconsistencies - scorebooks are not always 100% accurate! This normally takes less than 5 minutes a match but, if you are lucky enough to have a copy of the EddSON Willow Cricket Scorebook (details available on request), matches can be imported straight into Cricket Statistics for Windows. Cricket Statistics for Windows can also help with many of the tasks involved with the day-to-day running of a cricket club. Players’ names, addresses, telephone numbers and membership details can be held in the database and you can instruct the program to search through the database and, for example, print a list or a set of mailing labels for all the members who haven’t paid their subs. You can also produce player availability charts and rotas for teas, bar duties, working parties etc. to pin up on your notice board. If your PC is fitted with a suitable modem, you can even get Cricket Statistics for Windows to dial players at home, at work or on their mobile phones. V1.70.04 (Registration Fee - 20.00 UK pounds) -------- This is missing some of the 'bells and whistles' of the latest version (e.g. 2 innings matches, macros and the ability to incorporate historic data from other packages) but is still a very capable program and will run quite happily on a 80386 with 4 Mb RAM. Please note: a) All prices include U.K. post and packing - overseas customers please add 1.00 UK pound to help with the cost of airmail postage. b) Payment can be by cheque / postal order / international money order (in U.K. pounds drawn on a U.K. bank) payable to Grahame Giddings. In return for your registration fee, you will receive a copy of Cricket Statistics for Windows on disk, will be entitled to unlimited free support and will be able to obtain future upgrades on disk for a nominal fee or download them for free!
