The home side were restricted to 219 all out from their 50 overs at Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore. England reached the required target with 14 balls to spare (largely thanks to an unbeaten 92 from Graham Thorpe). Ealham picked up the wickets of Wajahatullah Wasti (caught by Robert Croft for 24) and Taufeeq Omar (c Knight for 19) to finish with figures of 2 for 23 from his 10 overs. He also batted at the end of the England innings and finished 12 not out. Andrew Flintoff continued his good form - this time with the ball, taking 3 for 19. Darren Gough also took three wickets.
