Pre-Season Friendly - Kent struggle against Surrey at Canterbury

Kent began a week of pre-season friendlies with a disappointing 
performance against Surrey at the St.Lawrence Ground.  The visitors 
made 225 for 5 declared with Mark Butcher scoring 122. In reply, 
Kent were unable to build any substantial partnerships - a short time 
ago they were 105 for 7. 

There are a series warm-up matches for the county at the St.Lawrence
Ground this week, during which Kent will also take on Essex, and a Kent
Cricket Board XI. Entrance is free to all the games - which are due to
start at 11am (though times may vary depending on the weather and the
coaches' requirements). 

Score Monday at 6pm: Surrey 225 for 5 dec (Mark Butcher 112) 
Kent 105 for 7 in reply
