Kent Cricket News from CricInfo ------------------------------------- http://www.kent.cricket.org --------------------- Mon 12 April 1999 Mark Ealham on tour with England England v Pakistan, Mon 12 April: Kent's Mark Ealham starred with bat and ball for England in Sharjah today - taking 4 for 30 from his 10 overs as England won for the first time in the tournament. Although the victory comes too late to get them a place in the final (now to be contested between India and Pakistan), the 62 run win will give the team some much needed confidence ahead of the 1999 World Cup. England won the toss for the first time in this competition, and scored 206 all out (Graeme Thorpe making 62). In reply, Pakistan were unable to build any substantial partnerships, Fraser taking 3 wickets in addition to Ealham's four. The only real resistance came from Saleem Malik who was left stranded on 47 not out. As usual CricInfo has full scorecards, statistics and reports on the game on our Sharjah Cup pages.
