Kent 218 and 64 for 2, Northants 391
Kent are 109 runs behind with 8 wickets left


Dean Headley took 5 for 79 and took two slip
catches as Northants were bowled out for 391
today.  Headley's performance was not enough to
prevent them getting a first innings lead of
173; the opening stand between Rob Bailey (79) 
and Alex Swann (85) not broken until they had 
posted a score of 166.

Another key contributor was Tony Penberthy who
made 61 including a six and six fours.

Kent batted out twenty-one overs of their 
second innings before the close, losing Ward 
and Fulton to lbw decisions in the process as 
they finished the day on 64 for 2.

Northampton this week.  The game starts at 2pm
