Kent Cricket News ------------------------------------------------- http://www.kent.cricket.org ----------------------- Tue 29 Dec 1998 "I said 'we need four wickets tonight to have a chance', and that's what we got" As England fans celebrate the news of a spectacular victory in Melbourne which gives the opportunity of squaring the series at the 5th Test in Sydney, Dean Headley has been talking about what it felt like to take six wickets and set up the win for England. Speaking to the BBC's Pat Murphy on Radio 5 Live, the Kent fast bowler played down his own performance, which included 4 for 4 in 13 balls, saying it was "more important the England team have a win under their belts and have silenced the critics." "Whether you were slip catching, whether you were fielding in the in-field or bowling, everybody got being everybody else." Headley told the BBC how he had said to Steve Bucknor shortly after tea; "We need four wickets tonight to have a chance, and that's what we got". He also praised the committment of England fans, who were "cheering for us and getting behind us." We hope to have an audio recording of Headley available on CricInfo later today.
