KENT v SOMERSET, COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP
Somerset 342 all out, Kent 17 for 1

Dean Headley took 6 wickets for the second time
this season as Somerset were bowled out for 342
on a rain shortened day at Canterbury.

Play did not begin until shortly before 3 
o'clock after heavy overnight rain flooded the
St.Lawrence Ground outfield.

Rob Turner made 51, the last man out half an
hour before close of play, as Headley finished
with figures of 6 for 97.

In the seven overs of the Kent innings that were
possible the home side lost the wicket of opener
David Fulton, caught for 5.  Key and Phillips 
advanced the score to 17 for 1 when the players
left the field.
