NEWS IN BRIEF:

It looks as though Kent CCC will not suffer any
punishment for the substandard pitch used in 
the Sri Lankan tourist match earlier this year.
Officials from the club attended an ECB hearing
on Wednesday 23rd September at Lord's, where
the Pitches Liason Committee decided to take no 
immediate action.

Kent CCC say it is unlikely they will choose
an overseas player for next season before well
into the new year.
