Southsea Cricket Club - Review 2002 (written by Dave Chisholm)

With the addition of Dave Tiller, Allen McBride and Matt McCleary, this had to be our year and so it proved. Matt McCleary scored his runs at great speed, the only thing missing was a century or two, while Neil Richardson provided that with a blistering 138* in the first game of the season.

All the bowlers got wickets cheaply with great economy rates, as apart from a couple of blips most games were won comfortably.

A victory in the final game of the season against Calmore clinched the title by 5:30 amid scenes of wild celebrations at St James's.
