Each team to receive a maximum of 40 overs, with each bowler restricted to 8 overs and the bowler's run-up restricted to 15 yards.

Prize Money Sixes award: 1000 pounds to be shared equally by each six hit - there were 337 in all. 200 pounds was awarded to the batsman hitting the most sixes - C.G.Greenidge of Hampshire with 25 took the prize. Bowling award: 1000 pounds to be shared equally by each four wickets in an innings performance - there were 49 in all. 200 pounds was awarded to the bowler with most such feats - T.E.Jesty of Hampshire achieved the feat on 3 occasions and took the award.
