Each team to receive a maximum of 40 overs, with each bowler restricted to 8 overs and the bowler's run-up restricted to 15 yards.
Points system: Four fielders (plus the bowler and wicket-keeper) must be within the area 30 yards from the wicket for each ball.

Prize Money Sixes award: 400 pounds was awarded to the batsman hitting the most sixes in the season - C.S.Cowdrey of Kent hit 18 to win the prize. Bowling award: 400 pounds was awarded to the bowler with most 4 wickets in an innings in the season - ten bowlers achieved the feat on 2 occasions and shared the award.
