Belated Congratulations to Joe Harris and the Canadian Team for qualifying for the World Cup 2003. Thanks for the autographed Shirt Joe (you kindly gave it to me at Ross Lord where I was Venue Manager. Sincere condolences to Calvin Clark on the loss of his Wife, have only just learned of this. I am currently writing a book on my involvement in the ICC Trophy and in particular matches played at Ross Lord Park. I am therefore seeking permission to use photographs carried on the CCA Web Site for use in my book as well as Score Cards of matches played. Would appreciate agreement to this request please. hey guyzzz... well... i know its kinda late.. but i must congratulate u.. late or not!! i remember checking out the commentry on cricinfo.. and was very happy when u guys qualified.. I'm actually from Pakistan.. and i support Pakistan.. but i watch each and every match with just as much enthusiasm.. i mean i watch a bangladesh-kenya match with almost the same excitement as a pakistan-india match (assuming they ever happen again :) )... and i always support the 'underdog' type of team... and I love playing cricket.. and get very excited when i hear of a success overall for cricket.. and i think Canada qualifying to the world cup ahead of some major teams.. after 20 + years.. is a very big success for cricket.. hope u do extermely well in the world cup ( well dont get ur hopes too high on beating Pakistan.. but still do try..:) ) and leave an impression.. and soon become one of the major sides in world cricet.. oh btw.. i really did want the USA to qualify as well... but they were disappointing.. think u could lend em some help... what a boost that would be for North American Cricket .. and cricket over all.. anyway congrats again guys.. laterzz

Congratulations!! That was a great win on the Qualifier mactch. I want to see Canada like that in all the matches in the World Cup. You guys can do it. Watch "Lagaan" and get your inspiration. And if you are short of players call me, I will be there. Hey!! I made two hat-tricks for my school team back in India. Oh well, keep up the great work and make Canada proud.

Congratulations to Canada on qualifying for the CWC. Now the difficult preparations must start. Somebody was asking about Canada T-shirts. Is it possible for the CCA to sell T-shirts as a fund-raiser for its programs? I know I would like to buy one. Its something to look into!

A big CONGRATS! To you guys. I'm from New Zealand and can't wait to see the match up between the countries at the next world cup, though I'll be supporting New Zealand, it'll be great to see some new players on the scene, so if you could just beat every team EXCEPT New Zealand, that would be great thanx!!!! -Rose P.S. CONGRATULATIONS!!! to all the members of the Canada team. I am a big a cricket fan and my passion for cricket has been the same even after i moved from india to canada, and one day i hope to play for the canadian team myself! thanx for making it to the world cup(i'l get to watch cricket atlast, and u guys ofcourse).... keep up the good works boys!

Canada's cricket team should take advantage of all the tour cancellations happening around the world in test level & ODI cricket playing countries. Example: Sri Lanka has stepped in place of NZ after the cancellation of their tour of Pakistan...Canada (where appropriate) should also step in (at the moment only Pak might be a candidate and we may not want to send our players there)...However, there might be appropriate places where we could go...We should think about all our options carefully...

It is a great feeling knowing that Canada has qualified for the cricket world cup 2003 in South Africa, my heart goes out to the 'PLAYERS' who have put in all the hard work not only for the ICC but for the tour of Sri Lanka to make this dream and goal a reality. Well done to Jeff Thomas on making the guys physically and mentally fit for the tournament. I only hope the CCA can now get their act together and put together a schedule over the next 13 months that will have our boys to almost their best playing abilities. This is what we've been waiting for and we've got it in our hands, don't let this great opportunity slip right thru your fingers. Now is the time to act and act swiftly. It has been quite a few months since the tournament was concluded and Nimibia have already started preparations for the 2003 world cup, why not Canada? I hope the CCA has it in them to at least get off their seats and seek sponsorship from companies. A well thought out marketing plan should be put together and you gentlemen should approach respective would be sponsors in person and not via telephonic discussions or via the internet. Come on CCA, don't let it slip away.......

It has been a dream of mine to see at least one country to play in the world cup from the AMERICA'S.NORTH AMERICA as every body knows is the LEADER of the whole world not only in sports but also in every thing.......and i mean every thing.So i used to think why not cricket?well here comes the news off course a good one. CANADA IS GONNA PLAY IN THE WORLD CUP.......KUDO'S CANADA AND WELL DONE TEAM.U GUYS HAVE MADE MY DREAM COME TRUE AND U GUYS HAVE MADE UR COUNTRY PROUD IN THE FIELD OF CRICKET. congrats to Canada for qualifying for the World cup for the second time. I hope the canadian Cricket team will try their best to improve the status of the game in Canada. It would be a nice experience to see as many people watching a cricket match in Canada as there are in baseball. good luck for the world cup 2003. Prepare yourself for the WC 2007 through this.

Having been involved last year as coach of the Canadian team I feel extremely proud of your achievement. Joe (you biscuit), Davo, Sanjay, Josey, Desmond, Barry, Ish, Ashish, Melvin, Nicky, Sammy, Austin - very well done and I wish you all the best over the next few years!! Hope to see you in SA.
