Docked one over for a slow over-rate, the hosts did not get off to the best of starts with wickets falling at regular intervals. The experienced Gary Kirsten, though, hung around doing what he does his best, nudging the singles and anchoring the innings. The South African opener went on to make 69 off 92 balls before becoming the fifth wicket to fall at 155.
