Kenya and India squared up at Newlands in Cape Town, in a
day/night encounter, keenly looking for the four points to ensure
a birth in the World Cup semi finals. Kenya elected to bat first,
and then their opening batsmen Kennedy Otieno and Ravindu Shah
gave a good start, adding 75 valuable runs. The Indian bowling
was adequate, but the fielding was dismal, by the end of the
Kenyan innings, four easy catches were dropped. Shah was furious
after a mix-up with Otieno cost him his wicket – run-out.
