Scott Styris and Stephen Fleming stitched together a 38-run
third-wicket partnership but the recovery proved fleeting, as
Ashish Nehra struck, dismissing Styris. Zaheer, then, returned to
claim New Zealand wicket-keeper Brendon McCullum, promoted ahead
of Chris Cairns, to wrest the honour of being the fastest Indian
to a 100 ODI wickets. The left-arm quick was playing in his 65th
ODI. Zaheer later went on to add the wicket of Chris Harris to
end up as the most successful Indian bowler with figures of 4/42
from eight overs.
