All Dravid needed was that one let-off. The Indian vice-captain
and Mohammad Kaif went on to forge a match-winning, unbeaten 129-
run partnership to take their side to an easy seven-wicket win.
Dravid, who brought up his 44th ODI half-century off 83 balls
with seven fours, was unbeaten on 53 at the end. Kaif, for his
part, made 68 off 129 balls with eight fours, his first World Cup
fifty and his fourth overall. India now take on Kenya in the
second semi-final, a day-nighter at Durban on March 20. New
Zealand, for their part, are out of the tournament unless Sri
Lanka lose to Zimbabwe.
