Nasser Hussain did not have a good English summer, what with his finger breaking every time he was hit on the glove by a fast bowler. He missed out on a lot of action as England lost one more Ashes series at home. In the subcontinent, though, the Englishmen have tasted success in the recent times; their Test series wins in Pakistan and Sri Lanka bears testimony to their fighting spirit. With a few leading senior players pulling out of the squad to tour India, Hussain's shoulders have been overburdened. But he is one leader who never misses out on a smile to keep things going.
