Blignaut had a sensational Test debut against Bangaldesh at Bulawayo, picking up 5/73
and 3/37. He did not shine well with the ball in the first Test at
Bulawayo against the visiting Indian side. But he did give enough
evidence of his batting ability with an unbeaten 32 in the second
innings. In the second Test match at Harare, Blignaut started the big
collapse of the Indian second innings by picking up the crucial wicket
of Rahul Dravid to sign off the third day's play.
