Harvinder Singh was dropped from the squad after his lackluster performance in Sri Lanka. He failed to capitalise on helpful conditions in the island country and was a big let down. Not a tear-away fast bowler and at best a change bowler, Harvinder Singh will be lucky to play a few games in the ODI series. He finds himself in South Africa as a replacement for the injured Zaheer Khan. The left-arm fast bowler will be sorely missed and Harvinder Singh will do well to make use of this big opportunity in conditions that are helpful for fast bowling in South Africa.
