"PAKISTAN
WOMEN CRICKET ASSOCIATION"
PWCA
Pakistan Women Cricket Association was established in 1978. The current
President is Mrs Shirin Javed and Secretary General is Azraa Parveen.
Following efforts have been made by Pakistan Women Cricket Association
to promote Women Cricket in Pakistan:

With
the hectic efforts of PWCA, the PCB amended its Constitution and included
Women Cricket in it.
-
PWCA's
camps and tournaments held from 1978 to 2000. Copy enclosed: A

PWCA's
annual programs. Copy enclosed: B

PWCA's
cricket teams have more than 1000 players from all provinces and divisions,
mostly all-rounders

PWCA
has its own practice and match grounds, located at National Coaching
& Training Centre, Ferozepur Road, Lahore, opposite Gaddafi Stadium,
Lahore.

Mr.
Nazar Mohammad, Agha Saadat Ali, Kh. Rab Nawaz, Mr. Javed Miandad,
Wasim Hasan Raja, Aamer Sohail, Shafqat Rana, Ijaz Ahmed and other
famous Cricket personalities coach the women players

Every
year, PWCA's General Council and Executive Committee Meetings are
held

PWCA
holds elections and meetings regularly

PWCA's
committees, include:
- Tournament Committee
- Disciplinary Committee
- Brochure Committee
- Medical Committees etc

Quaid-e-Azam
Women Cricket Trophy is the First Class Tournament held every year

Inter-Provincial/Divisional
Tournaments are organized. Awards to best bat, bowler, wicket-keeper
etc are given to women cricketers

16 (Girls) Tournaments are organized at Divisional level

Floodlight
Tournament is organized by the PWCA

Affiliated
units of PWCA, organize their local tournaments

Servs Women Cricket Cup is organized

Provincial/Divisional Associations affiliated with PWCA have their
affiliation with the respective Sports Boards and Divisional Cricket/Divisional
Sports committees

The
best Players of the PWCA have shown tremendous performance:
- Attiya
Amin: (Captain) RH opening bat and medium pace bowler. Has hit many
centuries and won many best batswoman awards
- Raeesa llyas: (Vice-captain) Leg spinner and opening bat. Has
also scored many centuries and had tremendous record haul of 5 wickets
in one over. She has taken more than thousand wickets in her career.
- Azraa Parveen: Wicket-keeper and top order bat. Has an excellent
stumping record, has hit many 50s and 4 centuries. She has many caught
behinds and 6 stumpings in one over.
- Taranum Rizvi: Our fastest bowler, Right Arm Fast and top order
bat. She has many wickets and has scored 2 centuries. She is a top class
close-in fielder
- Humaira Masroor: She is from Sindh Women Cricket Association.
An Right Arm off-spinner and middle order bat. She has scored many centuries,
taken many wickets and is the best fielder
- Samreen Hashmi: Right Arm Fast bowler with the ability to swing
the ball. She has taken many wickets and scored many 50s
- Ayesha Asher: Right Arm Fast bowler and lower order hard-hitting
bat. She has a high scoring rate and is a good fielder
- Taskeen Qadeer: Right Arm Fast bowler and opening bat. She
is the fastest young bowler and can move ball both ways in the air.
In a short time she has won a place in the senior team and has won many
Woman of the Match awards. She also has a very high scoring rate
- Uzma Malik: Right Arm Fast bowler and the best fielder. A young
player who has the ability to move ball in the air.
- Many other players have the same qualities.
