ZCU SECRETARIAT

The Secretariat implement Board policies and decisions and run the day to day activities of the Union. This is essentially the staff who work at the ZCU headquarters, and consist of:

The Secretariat heads seven working divisions:

Mashonaland
Manicaland
Midlands
Mashonaland Country Districts
Matabeleland (includes Matabeleland Country Districts and Masvingo)
Umpires and Scorers
Junior and Schools Cricket

At present the smaller geographical unions are not very active, and so have been brought under the umbrella of the a major province. It is hoped that eventually they will become autonomous again.

The Secretariat has established a professional administrative presence in cricket in Zimbabwe, and has taken over the functions of various committees, especially those concerned with tours, domestic cricket and finance. In the past these committees were necessarily run by people who were also involved in full-time jobs.
