Once again, the Zimbabwe national team flattered only to deceive. They
gave the impression, in the Third and final Test match against Sri Lanka,
that they were going to make a real fight of it, by avoiding the follow-on
and therefore what would have been another innings defeat. [More]
INTERVIEW
Alistair Campbell: Zim Bd XI v Gauteng 'B'
Alistair ‘Two-Ton’ Campbell is ready and prepared to join the national
team in India - if the selectors choose him. They dropped him from the
team that toured Sharjah and Bangladesh, but they did invite him to tour
Sri Lanka at the last minute. He felt unable to go at such short notice
as he felt he was not mentally prepared. His two centuries for the Zimbabwe
Board XI in their match against Gauteng B should have answered all the
questions the selectors and anybody else felt inclined to ask. Here he
talks to CricInfo about his innings and the match.

unkempt Mutare Sports Club - balls were frequently being lost a few metres
off the playing surface. One boundary-board advertiser player was heard

to maintain the boards. [More]

ALI
SHAH
I stumbled onto the Zimbabwe Cricket Online website and was very pleased
to see Ali Shah’s biography out there. I know that this is a cricket specific
site and thus cricket information only; however I just wanted you to know
that Ali was a very talented field hockey player as well, playing for
the first team at Morgan High. We attended the same Primary and High schools
and were in the same class. I am very proud of his accomplishments as
documented in your bio of him.
