Scoreless Sequences of Individual Innings
SCORELESS SEQUENCES:
In 1990, Mark Robinson (of Northants.) started the season with
1*, 0* and 1, then produced the sequence of 0, 0*, 0*, 0*, 0*,
0*, 0, 0, 0, 0*, 0*, and 0. He finished the season by scoring 1
in his final innings, after 12 0's. This is the record sequence
of innings without scoring.
The record for most consecutive innings dismissed without
scoring is a mere six by:
1. E.G.Hartnell (Cambr U/Gents of Kent) in 4 matches
1844 - 2 &0; 0 & 0; 0 & 0; 1850 - 0 & 9
2. A.W.Wright (South Australia) in 3 matches
1905/06 - 0 & 0; 0 & 0; 0 & 0 (his first six FC innings)
There are several players who have been dismissed without
scoring in five consecutive innings. The last one I could find
was P.L.Garlick (Cambridge U). In four matches in 1984 he had a
sequence of 2 &0; 0; 0 & 0; 0. This was followed by a 0* and
then another three dismissals for 0s.
John Howarth (Nottinghamshire, 1966 and 1967) is the only player
to have played in more than 10 first-class matches and recorded
the career batting average of 0.00 (13 matches, 7 innings, 3 not
outs, 0 runs, HS 0*, Ave 0.00).

and by B.S.Chandrasekhar (Ind) in three matches:
1977/78 - 0 &0; 0* & 0*; 0 & 0.
2. The record for the most consecutive ODIs without scoring is
eight by T.M.Alderman (Aus) in 32 matches:

1989 - 0*; dnb; dnb;
